Education, support, and counseling—A care team teaches people how to quit smoking, eat heart-healthy foods, and cope with life after a heart attack. The support from rehab helps you reach goals within your limits. Taking these steps will also lower the risk of having more heart attacks.
Exercise—A safe program is started with the goal of working up to physical fitness routine. You will start slowly, and build up time and distance as you are able.
