Symptoms of Fibromyalgia

Symptoms can be mild to severe. They also are not the same in each person.

Common problems are:

  • Pain, including:
    • Raised sensitivity to pain
    • Pain from things that do not cause pain in most people
    • Tender (trigger) points of pain in the body
    • Stiff muscles
  • Sleep problems, such as being very tired in the morning after sleeping
  • Depression or anxiety
  • Problems with thinking, such as lack of focus, being forgetful, and slow thinking
  • Sensitivity to things in the environment, such as lights, odors, and cold
